Group targets 6million votes for Olawepo-Hashim in North-West

By Ola Taiwo

The Hashim Progressive Movement (HPM) has said it aimed at securing at least six million votes for Accord Party Presidential candidate, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, across  North-West zone of the country in the 2027 general election.

The HPM coordinator, Aminu Aminu who disclosed this said the movement was mobilising supporters across the seven States of Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.

Aminu who doubles as the Accord’s candidate for Jigawa central senatorial election said canvassing vote for Olawepo-Hashim in the zone demonstrated connection of the presidential candidate with the zone and his national appeal

The HPM coordinator noting importance of emergence as presidential candidate of Olawepo-Hashim who has identified the North-West zone as his biological root said the movement would prove that the candidate is theirs in the zone

“We will prove that the presidential candidate of the Accord is our own in this region and the face of the New North,”

“This is a homecoming. For decades, the North has searched for a leader who understands its people and their challenges while offering a National vision for all Nigerians. We believe Dr Gbenga Hashim represents that possibility,” he stated

He said HPM’s mobilisation strategy would involve ward by ward and door to door engagement, with youth and women mobilisers working alongside Accord’s legislative candidates to strengthen the Party’s Presidential campaign.

“The movement plans to link its Presidential mobilisation efforts with Accord’s Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates to improve coordination and expand grassroots engagement across the region.

“We are connecting Presidential hope to grassroots reality,” he said.

Aminu said that the movement believed voters were seeking practical solutions to insecurity and economic hardship, issues on which Hashim had continued to outline policy proposals.
